The ECES family wishes a Happy International Mother Language Day to everyone around the world!
At ECES, our strength lies in the great diversity of our worldwide team. In the current context of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are proud to celebrate people and their heritage on International Mother Language Day by reminding everyone that languages play a decisive role in development and cooperation worldwide.
International Mother Language Day was proclaimed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) on 21 February 2000, in order ‘to promote and preserve multilingualism and cultural diversity throughout the world’.
With more than 60 nationalities and 50 countries involved in our projects since 2010, ECES has been deeply mobilised to facilitate cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue within our electoral assistance mission, among others.
We pay tribute to our differences that make us stronger!
