Meeting with the EU Election Observation Mission on the Recommendations of the Final Report

 

La Paz, Bolivia – 5 December 2025.
On Friday, Luis Castellar, Coordinator of the PRO-Election Bolivia project, and Carolina Floru, Senior Expert on Electoral Observation and Civil Society, held a working meeting with members of the European Union Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) and representatives of the European Cooperation. The purpose of the meeting was to jointly discuss the recommendations included in the Final Election Observation Report, which will be released in the coming days.

During the discussion, the parties reviewed the recommendations that fall within the technical mandate of the PRO-Election Bolivia project, including those related to electoral observation, institutional strengthening, risk management, and support to key democratic stakeholders in the country. The meeting also explored possible strategies for ECES support, identifying opportunities for the project to contribute to the development of sustainable solutions aligned with international standards.

ECES reaffirms its commitment to supporting the institutions of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, civil society, and electoral observation initiatives, promoting inclusive and transparent electoral processes grounded in democratic principles.
