Political parties and electoral institutionalism

 

The Multinational Development Policy Dialogue (MDPD) of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in Brussels together with the European Network of Political Foundations (ENoP) Invited Rafael Loayza, from ECES, to speak at the high-level, roundtable event, named “The Democratic Reset? Political Parties between Trust, Reform, and Representation in a fragmented World”. The event is took place on the 20 November in Brussels, Belgium.

Rafael gave an input statement, cross checking the topic of political parties in Latin America and electoral institutions, with special emphasis on Bolivia. He talked about ECES experiences from the past electoral cycle, especially related with the work of political parties, and their foreign influence. Monica Frassoni was also invited and gave interesting inputs about de difference between electoral observation and assistance.
