Strategic Communication Workshop for the TSE
On 5th July, a workshop on communication strategy was held within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed recently between the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES), and the Bolivian Electoral Supreme Court (TSE), during ECES Founder and Executive Director Fabio Bargiacchi's visit to Bolivia. The goal of the event, which took place in La Paz, was to define TSE communication actions to strengthen public trust in the Bolivian electoral management body (OEP) and increase the transparency and integrity of the electoral process. The workshop was attended by 25 members of the TSE's Communication Department, the National Direction of IT and Communication Technologies (DNTIC), the National Direction of Electoral Processes and the Cilvl Register Service (SERECI). PRO-Elección Bolivia Project Coordinator, Luis Castellar, along with Project Officer Rafael Loayza and Media and Communication Expert Javier Gutiérrez, made presentations on electoral conflictivity, international electoral integrity values and principles to guide EMB’s strategic communications, the fight against disinformation, and institutional communication channels and strategies. The workshop also allowed participants to develop an election slogan for the OEP's civic education and voter mobilisation campaign in the media.
