Workshop on strategic communication with the TSE
As part of its technical assistance to the Bolivian electoral management body, the EU-funded, ECES-implemented PRO-Elección Bolivia Project held a workshop on 26th June for members of the Intercultural Service for Democratic Strengthening (SIFDE) and the Communication Department of the Bolivian Supreme Electoral Court (TSE). The purpose of the workshop was to discuss communication strategies and develop narratives for the TSE's outreach campaigns on vote mobilisation, as well as to analyse the electoral cycle, the various stages of the electoral process and potential conflicts that may arise. ECES Project Coordinator Luis Castellar provided an introduction to the EU-funded project strategy, outlining electoral conflict triggers and potential measures across the Bolivian electoral cycle. From their side, ECES Bolivia team members Rafael Loayza and Javier Gutiérrez focused on communication strategies. They facilitated a group discussion to brainstorm narratives for TSE's future spots and campaigns on voter mobilisation and electoral pedagogy
