Amadou Tidiane Barry is the National Electoral Expert of PACTE-Guinea II. Before joining the project team, Barry collaborated with different organisation involved in supporting good governance and rule of law.
He started his career as a human rights activist in the Non-Governmental Panafrican Organisation Rencontre Africaine pour la Défense des Droits de l’Homme (RADDHO). In this role, he took part in an evaluation workshop on the access to justice in Guinea and on investigations on human rights violations.
Barry also collaborated with the American Association of Judges as an investigator and trainer on gender, psycho-social assistance of domestic violence victims, and local governance.
Barry was the vice-chairman of the Guinean Observatory for Free and Fair Elections. In this role, he contributed to projects with local organisations in the field of elections and democracy (civic education, election observation).
During the 2015 presidential elections, Barry served as Electoral Analyst Assistant Electoral Analyst for the European Union Electoral Observation Mission to Guinea.
