On Friday February 14th, as part of the Projet d’Appui à la société Civile Et aux Médias (PACEM - Gabon), ECES supported the visit of Mr. George Bruno Ngoussi, President of the Consortium des Organisations de la Société Civile pour la Transparence Électorale et la Démocratie au Gabon (COTED), to Brussels. During his visit, we arranged a meeting with Ms. Joëlle Milquet, Chair of the Board of Directors of RTBF and President of ECES' Strategic and Advisory Committee. The discussions focused on potential synergies for training sessions and workshops regarding media monitoring, disinformation, and media coverage of electoral processes, in preparation for the upcoming presidential elections on April 12th.
The PACEM Project aims to strengthen Gabon’s democracy and prevent election-related tensions. Implemented by ECES, partnership with COTED, the project supports non-state actors (civil society and media) to promote an inclusive and peaceful electoral process.
