High-level training in ISO 9001:2015 quality management for SGG executives.

As part of its ongoing commitment to institutional capacity building, the Projet d'Appui au Renforcement de la Démocratie (PARD-Guinée), in collaboration with the Secrétariat Général du Gouvernement (SGG), conducted a high-level training programme on the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system on 3 and 4 December 2024 in Conakry.

The aim of the training was to equip SGG executives with the tools and knowledge they need to improve organisational management and foster a culture of excellence within the Guinean public administration.

On the first day, participants were given an in-depth look at the fundamentals of quality management: the key principles, the Deming cycle and the specifics of the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

On the second day, the session focused on strategic planning, performance evaluation and the promotion of a culture of continuous improvement within institutions.

This initiative is an integral part of the PARD-Guinea project, funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES). It marks an important stage in the SGG's certification process, bringing Guinean public institutions into line with international standards of efficiency and performance.

Thanks to this training, the managers of the Secretariat General of the Government are now better prepared to lead transformations that will have an impact, strengthening the quality and efficiency of public service delivery in Guinea.
