As part of the support project for civil society and the media (PACEM-Gabon), the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES), funded by the European Union, organised a 3-day training course in leadership, conflict management and best election observation practices starting on 17 February 2025, in Franceville - Gabon, bringing together 25 participants from COTED member civil society organisations and the media. This training inaugurates the LEAD cascade training which will continue in the towns of Lambaréné, Port-Gentil and Oyem after two training of trainers sessions organised in Libreville.
The participants expressed the wish that more training courses of this kind should be organised to reach the vast majority of Gabonese people. They promised to make the content of the training their own and to put it into practice. They also thanked ECES and the European Union, which had funded the PACEM-GABON project.
