As part of the project to support civil society and the media (PACEM-Gabon), funded by the European Union, the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES) organised a training session for Long-Term Observers (LTOs) in Libreville from 13 to 14 March 2025. This event brought together 20 members of Gabonese civil society who will be deployed in the field from 25 March to 19 April 2025 as part of the civil society election observation mission to observe the conduct of the election campaign, the voting operation and D-Day, as well as the compilation of results. The aim of this training was to strengthen the capacities of the observers by equipping them with the techniques and methodologies of electoral observation, while emphasising their role and their neutrality during the observation of the electoral process.
