Giovanni Barbera is an Italian-Ethiopian national. He serves has Deputy Project Coordinator - Operations and Administration and has worked as a Finance and Administration Manager with the Ethiopia project. He previously worked as a Logistics and Operations Officer. He worked as an Assistant at the Bureau of the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC) for the last nine years and half. Specifically, within the Bureau of the Deputy Chairperson, he was required to analyze and maintain an overview of the work of the office, ensuring that timely administrative and strategic support is provided in general and specialized areas. In addition to his administrative expertise, he has experience in event planning, public relation management, budget preparation, procurement processes, monitoring of expenditures, managing entitlements as well as protocol and security arrangements.
