Éléonore Monette is a Junior Project and Communication Officer at ECES. She has previously worked as Project Assistant at the Royal Institute for International Relations (Egmont Institute) contributing to the design and implementation of projects in diplomacy, civil crisis management and support to various public administrations in Africa, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ministerial cabinets and the Belgian Development Agency Enabel.
After studying at the United World College (UWC) in Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Éléonore obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Economics and Environmental Sciences from the University of Groningen (Netherlands). Éléonore holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Plymouth (UK). Her MA dissertation was dedicated to the role of food cooperatives in Mali, as a vehicle to strengthen the resilience of communities facing food insecurity in contexts prone to conflict.
She has also worked in the philanthropic field at the King Baudouin Foundation and has volunteered for the Belgian Red Cross.
Éléonore is fluent in French, English and Dutch.
