The European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES) extends its congratulations to Joëlle Milquet, President of our Strategic and Advisory Committee, on her recent appointment as Chair of the Board of Directors of RTBF (Radio-télévision belge de la communauté française), Belgium's national public broadcasting organization.
Joëlle’s career includes high-level political roles, such as Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Education, and her leadership of the Centre Démocrate Humaniste (CdH), where she served as President from 1999 to 2011. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to democratic values, education, and cultural development, both in Belgium and internationally. Since joining ECES in 2020, she has contributed to the strategic direction of ECES.
The entire ECES team is confident that, in her new role within Belgium public media, Joëlle will contribute to the further advancement of the RTBF, ensuring its continued success in delivering high-quality public service broadcasting.
