Jacopo Ardito is a Senior Project Advisor at the European Centre for Electoral Support, with extensive expertise in managing international development and electoral support projects across Africa. He holds a Master’s degree in European Studies from Maastricht University and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of Trento. His areas of specialization include Electoral Management, European politics, international relations, and project management.

Currently, Jacopo works on the implementation of projects funded by the European Union and its Member States. As a Senior Project Advisor, he oversees the execution of various projects implemented by ECES. Since 2022, he has been closely managing the Italian-funded project Pro-Electoral Integrity, currently in its third phase of implementation. In this role, he collaborates closely with the African Union Commission (AUC) to promote electoral integrity and democratic processes in Africa. He has overseen project activities in Benin, Comoros, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal, Ghana, Namibia, and Gabon.

Jacopo is certified as an ISO 9001 internal auditor and is part of the ECES team responsible for the annual renewal of the certification.

His key qualifications include project development, budget management, human resource planning, and the creation of communication strategies. His background in diplomacy, negotiation, and media relations, along with his ability to work under pressure, has been instrumental in fostering successful partnerships with diverse stakeholders.

Previously, Jacopo held roles in political advisory and communication, including an internship at the European Parliament, where he supported election observation and follow-up activities. He also worked at the Italian Ministry of the Environment, where he was involved in COP25 negotiations.

Jacopo is fluent in Italian, English, French, and Portuguese, with proficiency in Spanish.
