Abdul Hakim Bawar is an Afghan professional with over seven years of experience in national and international organizations, specializing in finance, administration, and internal auditing. He is known for his strong work ethics and exceptional time management skills, which have contributed to his successful career in diverse roles.

From August 2018 to March 2020, Abdul Hakim served as a Finance Officer for the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES) in Afghanistan, working on the Project in Support of Sustainability and Electoral Integrity in Afghanistan (PROSES). He was responsible for archiving, filing, and recording financial documents in accordance with ECES organisational regulations, performing weekly reconciliations for bank accounts, payment orders, and maintaining professional monthly financial reports. Additionally, he supported the finance manager and project coordinator by preparing the monthly banking payroll and ensuring compliance with financial policies and payment procedures.

In addittion to his work on PROSES, Abdul Hakim held significant roles in financial management and internal auditing. From May to July 2020, he supported the internal audit team of ECES in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, ensuring the organization's risk management, governance, and internal control processes were functioning effectively. His role involved consulting team members on key procedures related to filing, recording, and maintaining financial reports.

Abdul Hakim's earlier experience includes serving as Finance Manager for Humanitarian Assistance for the Women and Children of Afghanistan (HAWCA) from September 2016 to July 2018, where he played a key role in maintaining the implementation of financial and administrative policies, preparing annual budgets, and overseeing tax calculations and timely payments. He also assisted with third-party audits and communicated the organization’s financial position to management, stakeholders, donors, and auditors.

Before transitioning into finance and administration, Abdul Hakim worked as a Finance Officer at COSPE International, where he managed financial record-keeping, tax calculations, and daily cash payments. He also assisted the HR and admin team with various tasks.
